My main duty for Iowa Civil is to assemble and coordinate the great human talent that we have. I manage all the resources we are blessed with including experience and equipment. I continue to cultivate the long standing business relationships with project owners, industry partners, equipment and material suppliers and trade associations.
I do all of this with the goal of safe, quality driven work that provides rewarding careers for years to come.
Mark started with Iowa Erosion Control/Iowa Civil Contracting in 2003.
I have an Associate degree in Civil and Construction Engineering.
I attended college at Northwest Iowa Community College for a degree in Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance Program. I started working for Iowa Erosion Control/Iowa Civil Contracting in April of 2001.
I work with the Project Managers, Management, and Accounting departments to gather data and provide assistance with daily project production, materials used, job costing, and daily/weekly income reports. I also help to obtain and submit material certifications and other documents to DOT’s and other project owners.
My role at Iowa Civil Contracting is to manage the maintenance program of all equipment from parts to service of all equipment. My duties also include taking care of the facilities, grounds, shop, and office.
I received an Associates Degree in Construction Technology from Kirkwood Community College. I joined Iowa Civil Contracting in March of 2020 as an Estimator.
I started with Iowa Civil Contracting, formerly known as Iowa Erosion Control, as a truck driver in 2010. Over the years my supervisors saw the interest I had in a leadership position, and I was promoted to Leadman in 2016. Working my way up, and dedicating myself to Iowa Civil I was then promoted to Foreman at the start of 2019. As of late 2020, I can proudly say I am now a Superintendent.
As a Superintendent I oversee projects and am responsible for the flow of the daily work schedule as well as production. I work closely with project managers to get each job done safely and efficiently. I manage and supervise work my crew performs along with arranging the proper techniques and having the proper machinery necessary for daily performance. I am responsible for my worker’s safety as well as my own.

I started with Iowa Civil Contracting formerly known as Iowa Erosion Control as a laborer in 1998. I was then promoted to concrete finisher which I performed for several years, then in 2007 I became a Foreman and in 2015 I was promoted as Superintendent.
I manage the people on every project, supervising the work my crews perform. I’m also responsible for the flow of the daily work schedule as well as the production, working closely with the Project Manager to get each job done efficiently.
I started with Iowa Civil Contracting in 2018. I manage projects while providing day-to-day communication within our team and the owners. I help estimate projects. I have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
I started with Iowa Civil Contracting in 2019. I assist the estimating team with all aspects of bidding projects.
Danny Started in February 2021 as Shop Foreman. Ensuring quality maintenance and repairs to Iowa Civil’s equipment.
Hilario Started with Iowa Civil Contracting in 2000. His Growth within the Company is a result of his dedication to Safety Quality, and Commitment.
