Iowa Civil Contracting, Inc., 1106 3rd Street, Victor, IA 52347, 319-647-3561 is seeking 10 temporary full-time Construction Laborers to work at U.S. Highway 169 Owasso OK Tulsa 74055 and other worksites from Rogers, Okmulgee, Osage, Creek, Wagoner, Pawnee. From 10/03/22 to 12/31/22 to prepare construction site where concrete will be poured. Assist in pouring of the concrete for finishers to complete. Use hand and power tools and carry various construction materials. Dig and level earth and gravel. Clean up construction site. Must have normal range of vision and hearing. Must be capable of standing, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. No education or experience required. Daily transportation to and from the worksite will be provided $17.70/hr. Approx. 50 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 6am- 4pm with up to 10 hours of overtime may be available but is not guaranteed. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. $26.55/hr. for overtime. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck will be made as required by law. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay weekly by check. The employer will provide optional housing to workers. Workers who elect to live in housing will have $70.00 deducted from workers’ pay per weekly paycheck for rent and utilities. In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $14.00/day to a maximum of $59.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
